There seem to be a number of places where documentation is
tied to code version.   So, having versions of the documentation
corresponding to version of code makes sense to me.

The built-in revisions might work if there were a way to tag
revisions, a la CVS, so that people could ask for a particular
tag corresponding to the software version they are using.
