Hi,
We have quite some snippets, hidden away, deep in the handbooks. I wuold like
to see them get more love and more hands.
In order to have good copy-pastable theme functions, php blocks and so, we
ned:
* good peer reviews. now any fool can paste a nasty phpblock that ni fact just
fubars someones database
* Improvements. I often see phpblocks that I would not even feed to my dog.
They are written in horrible bloated PHP, dont use any drupal functions or
sometimes are plain insecure.
* input: the more the better
* findability. I think copy-pastable code is usefull for users. They can have
blocks and so without going trough all the hassle of installnig modules (that
give loads of unwanted features often too)
So, can we not open a new handbook, "forge", instead of having them spread
over administration/development?
And can we have one + three new terms:
* Code Forge
** Block snippets
** Page snippets
** Template snippets
