Need to document this property in the Forms API reference [1]. Since it
should be seldomly used (it is dangerous after all ;)), it should not go
in the main table, but in something like an appendix at the end or so.

I was checking drupaldocs.org's version of filter.module [2] here, which
doesn't seem to be really recent...

it's drupaldocs that's outdated. filter_form now has a #validate again.
but yes, #validate changed a lot so docs is outdated.
