I would like to keep php snippets as part of the handbook. I'll be  
republishing the snippets over the next week, keep them in moderation and  
attempt to contact the snippet authors by e-mail. When I can't contact the  
author, I'll leave a note and keep the snippet in moderation.

I hereby also volunteer to check newly submitted snippets for obvious  
security defects before they are published (I must be nuts :). I won't  
edit submitted snippets, just inform the authors (I hope in a kind and  
constructive way).
