Hi,
Lets face it, drupal.orgs handbook-jungle is overwhelming.
I just wanna throw out an idea about having a more easy of use
documentation for drupal.
I've made a demo at:
http://www.morphir.com/drupal-mindmap-doc/index.html
(it took me about 15 minutes)
As you can see, you just click the file or directory you wanna know more
about. And then click the link.
An example: you click cron.php -> you then see it's located at root
level. Then click the link directly to the handbooks to learn how it
works and how to use it.
Further, you can use this to see what modules depends on what .inc-files
and so on... you get me(dependencies). This mind-mapping of the drupal
filestructure would be helpfull for bough newbies and developers. It
would simply save you and me some time.
Maybe this could be done for even more things. But I want to know what
you guys think about it first(think of it as an advanced sitemap).
