Working hard! Step 3 is about domain pointing.
I tried to incorporate Boris' comments as much as I could. It's still not
very pretty yet. I have to thank Boris for his entertaining and honest
input! Please do give me your feedback NOW rather than later! It would
only take a few minutes of your expert time, and save so many people so much
hassle.
There are 4 methods (as suggested by Boris).
http://drupal.mystavash.net/node/6
Method 1 (CNAME), he/Richard will write, so there is nothing there.
Method 2 is about editing Apache httd.conf, which can be done both with
aliasing and changing doc root?? I'm not sure I understand the difference,
and I don't have clear examples. Please do add to this page!
Method 3 is symlinking. I added several methods and caveats to this page.
http://drupal.mystavash.net/node/15
I don't like the domain parking method, as it involves people buying other
domains, and that's a bit much to me.
Method 4 is the mythical htaccess method. Pretty much nothing there. I
kinda think that symlinking is so easy, why would you want to? And that's
pretty much the conclusion everyone else has reached that I saw in the
forums. Are there any situations where this would be better??
