I'm the kind of geek that skims through the documentation and tries to
set things up using the common theme that if it's a good system, it'll
at least be intuitive enough that I should be able to figure it out
given my 20+ years of systems admin experience.
I was at first pleased with the documentation that it went from
unashamed and self-administered horn blowing to install.txt that
describes how to configure some of the files needed to run Drupal. I
mean, sure it's cool to blow your own horn, but couldn't we have a
little segway between sheer marketing (yes, you can market an
open-architecture system like this) and technical intracacy? None the
less, I configured everything and according the install.txt file, I
should be up and running...
Now what? should I browse a specific file? Is there something I need to
do. Does Drupal automatically reach out and take over my website, so all
I need to do is browse my domain? I mean great, so I'm configured, I
DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO START THE SYSTEM UP.
I'm sure I'm missing something simple, so please advise. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
