I'll try to work on this, but it looks like the docs for hook_validate (and probably hook_nodapi with $op == 'validate') have never been updated for 4.7, and the HEAD docs must be lagging as well. See this forum topic: http://drupal.org/node/83130 An please tell me if I'm on the right track. -Peter
