Unfortunately I don't know of any way to organize the editing.  The  
only way to maybe do something like that is to create a docs issue  
saying that you are working on certain things.  Since you really  
don't want to do that for every page you want to clean up I think  
that would only make sense if you were staking claim to a section,  
e.g. Comment Cleanup for Site Recipes section and then assign it to  
yourself.  This would let others know that you were working in there  
(assuming they are checking issues ;-)).  We don't currently have a  
ton of people that I know of doing this work but I'm sure fate would  
have it that someone will conflict at some point. :-/

Anyone else have ideas?
