I both second /and third/ this motion. I cannot begin to count how many
times I have stared at the label on that tab and wondered who would
actually click on it if they were looking for documentation or support
help.

Even though they have probably been named 'Handbooks' since inception, I
recommend changing the name of the master tab on drupal.org from
"Handbooks" to "Documentation." And concurrently, the page title,
perhaps to "Documentation handbooks." 


Handbooks describe the tool used to make them, or the format (book), or
the location (in the handbooks).


Documentation describes their content. 


Handbooks are _where_ they are; documentation is _what_ they are.


If I were new to the site, and wanted to know how to do something, I
would think "documentation." 


Although 'Handbook' also brings to mind 'guide'; I wouldn't name it
'Guidebook' either. When I think of software, I think of
"Documentation." 


We even call ourselves the "Documentation team."
