Alternatively, maybe make the revision log a required field, so editors
won't forget it? The new revision info will be properly logged and
viewable to all on the handbook update page?

I am wondering is it possible to open 'view revisions' permission on
handbook pages? Often times I see an handbook page is updated and
wondering what are the changes (lots of updates do not come with a log).
I am particularly interested in this because I am working on translation
of some of the handookpages to Chinese, to be used on our Chinese
community site.
Hmm...as I am writing this, I just realized there isn't a good diff
module in drupal for me to really compare revisions, or is there?

documentation maintainers and site maintainers can see the revisions.
Diff module is not installed on drupal.org so you have to review by
eyeball. I am unsure if diff module will be installed on drupal.org, it
needs a review and such and other metrics to reduce the load on the
database are being looked at right now as well.

Uwe, thanks for the link. Last time I checked diff module, it didn't
work quite well for me. I notice there is a new 5.x-1.0 release,
nice...i'll check it out.
@sepeck, thanks for your reply. I'd like to help on documentation as
much as I can. English is not my native tougue, so I am not really good
at writing docs from scratch. As I said, I am working on translating
some of the handbooks, although in a very slow pace, most probably I
will go through most of the handbook pages literally word by word. So I
can definately help on proof-reading and correcting typos/errors etc. I
have subscribed to the documentation mailing list, please let me know
how to sign up and how do I start. Thanks.
