[documentation] Mini-project/task documentation ideas

One of my frequent rants about the need for journalism schools to
teach content management system resulted in a small class of upper
division journalism students (8) in a class on content management
systems. I'm signed up to help the instructor with the class and as a
part of the class we want to find a way to have the students
contribute to the community.

So I'm looking for ideas on how to have a small group of writers new
to Drupal contribute to the project. I'd imagine these would be small
(1-2 week) projects. I'm thinking small GHOP/DROP documentation style
tasks

Is there a list of or could folks recommend some high-value projects
to have these folks work on?

Since they may not be around long (of course I hope otherwise) is it
better to have them work and post work in an issue and have a docteam
member post? (And I'm happy to do that if it is the best approach).

It may be best to have these projects be more on the community/
advocacy side of things as the writers may not be up to terribly
technical writing/editing.

I'm guessing it will be late March or early April when this assignment
would be given.

Any and all other ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh
