I'm uncomfortable with the possible conclusion people may draw from this 
sort of suggestion.

It's too close to the usual criticism of open source projects

I quite like the wikipedia disclaimer

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:General_disclaimer

It's more of a legal document - while at the same time giving the reader 
an understanding of the process.

I'd suggest going further; emphasising the many benefits of community 
documentation - while acknowledging the limitations - and stating an 
intent to continually improve processes.

In my view this issue is better dealt with by linking to  full page - 
than trying to sum it up in a sentence.
