[support] Reg New installation of drupal

hi all,
         I installed drupal on my website and added my content to it ,the
default content is still coming on the homepage and i am unable to locate
the page where it is coming from .

The default content looks like

   and configure

How do i remove this content.

and also can i have urls like http://mydomain.com/aboutme than
htp://mydomain.com/node/1 ?
if yes how can i achieve that .
