[support] Cannot Enable/Disable Modules

For some reason I cannot enable a new module or disable an existing  
module. When I check them off/on then hit save configuration the page  
reloads and the module status remains the same.

Does anyone have any idea as to what could be wrong? I'm running  
Drupal 5
