[support] events module: show current day on upcoming block

hi laura, well, out of the box the Events module provides a node for
using on blocks. i don't think the Events module relies on a View for
displaying as a block. while your solution might be a workaround, it
would create a whole different setup than what we've got. i think.

unless you can create a View that will appear as a block, i think i'll
stick with the other suggestions of just getting the date to work
properly. i will also look at the Issue associated with this.
