[support] Views Blog List Page

Hi,
 
I've got views setup with a path to show up my blog post content types in descending order. And for each blog post to show a node teaser with a read more link.
 
At the moment it looks a little plain.
 
I was wondering how I can get a little calender date icon to show up next to each post title like on this blog http://marine.dezinerfolio.com/ 
using views or another module.
 
Also I'd like to attach an image to each post so that the image shows up on the side of each post like here (you may need to scroll down)
