[support] question about upgrading

When upgrading it is best to do some clean up on the older site so that you
aren't using things that are not supported on the new version. In other
words you have to think about how the new site will work.

You should be looking at going to D7 which in your case requires a brief
excursion through D6 if you go the upgrade path to conversion rather than
the migrate path.
