I wish I knew more about RSS feeds to help you. Everything can be formatted the way you want it using Views, I just don't know what it is you want.

Honestly, if you can give me examples, though, I'm certain I could help you. I'm far from an RSS expert, but I know my way around Views pretty well.

I even installed a new drupal 7 and tried it and still nothing. Time to look at other options other then drupal.
