[translations] Where is this translation problem?

I've encountered a similar problem when I moved a database from one
server to another one. Suddenly some - but not all - of the translated
strings wouldn't show up anymore, although they were still in the
database. When I searched and then saved the strings they would show up
again.
I then exported all my tranlations as a PO file, dropped the
translation, and created a new one from the PO file.
