[translations] 6.x Translation?

I know it's only beta1 and may take a couple iterations to reach
string-freeze or RC, but it's time to start thinking about translations! Are
there any guidelines on drupal 6.x translation process? I remember seeing
conversations on reorganizing all the translation projects, a localization
server etc. Are they being deployed? Any plans, updates?
