[consulting] Microsoft Dynamics vs Drupal

Hi all,

We’re working with a client whose management have decided that moving  
toward a Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution may be better than doing  
their CRM in a custom Drupal environment. I have no experience or  
knowledge (nor interest in) Microsoft Dynamics, so would be keen to  
hear the combined knowledge of this group regarding how it might  
compare with a bespoke Drupal solution.

Obviously I have a vested interest in Drupal being the better  
solution, but don’t want to be ignorant, so if anyone can share their  
thoughts on the pros and cons of each platform, that would be very  
interesting to us. Please bear in mind that (together with the client)  
we are entirely capable of developing a very customised solution, so  
we’re not talking about a simplistic install of Drupal with a few  
contrib modules, but rather leveraging Drupal as a framework enabling  
us to more rapidly develop a customised solution tailored specifically  
to their business requirements.
