[consulting] Searching for company that specializes in speeding up websites

I had GoDaddy for years, but they have awful SQL responsiveness. Drupal ran very, VERY slowly for me. Now I'm with BlueHost and everything is very quick and smooth (and cheaper).

Our website is hosted by GoDaddy.  At GoDaddy, we have a dedicated server, and its about the largest/fastest server they offer.

We need someone to look at our coding and determine why pages and queries go so slowly, and make recommendations as to how to speed it up.

Hi Alex,

Based on the your requirement,

There are two possibilities for being site slow.

1)      Server is not configured properly
2)      Coding is not proper

Hence to get an exact idea what is the root cause of slow down we will need access to both client’s server and drupal installation.

It will take 12 hours to analyze what is causing this slow down. If it’s from custom coding then we can estimate based on the coding done.
But if its default drupal coding (no customization from developer) then the cause for slow down is from server side which we can improve upto 20-60%.
It will take around 24 hours.

So if no custom coding is involved then site performance can be improved up to 40% in 24 hours.

But if coding is causing this slow down then we need access to coding to estimate how much it will take to correct it. Without proper idea of coding we can’t estimate how much time it will take.

So over all job is 36 hours (assuming server is causing this slow down, hence no modification in code. Only configuration server is needed).

Hello all,

I am running a website and I am looking for a drupal company to help me speed it up.

• Functional pages run very slow, such as:
o running query searches on: http://www.edgestudio.com/talent-library
o running query searches on: http://www.edgestudio.com/practice-scripts
o and so on
What is an estimate of the cost to speed up this site?

Please give me an estimate of the cost as well as a means of evaluating your company.  I'd rather not share specific information about routers and internet configurations; other companies have been able to give me a straight up cost, and I would much prefer that.  Thanks so much!

Alex
