From the statistics_filter module's README.txt:


To either monitor browsers or ignore search engines, PHP must be
configured to point to an up-to-date version of browscap.ini. See
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.misc.php for details.


If you are unable to setup browscap.ini on your server, you need to turn
off the "Ignore crawlers" and "Monitor browsers" checkboxes in the
statistics_filter settings.
