Well, since Drupal already has users and nodes/flexinodes, it seems
like I should be able to restrict the access of certain nodes to
specific users.  The filemanager API module seems to provide this
capability, but so far there's only the attachment module that uses
it.  But, that attachment module doesn't seem to fully use the
public/private functions of the filemanager API.  And, regardless of
those two modules, it seems like it should be possible to do access
restrictions with Drupal out of the box.

It's not a showstopper at this point, but I sort of picked Drupal with
the impression that it has this capability.
