I'm not sure how to make symlink using cpanel - I'm not sure if it's
possible.  You may need your site admins to do it or you may need
telnet/ssh access to the server.

It doesn't have to be fresh, but it's easier if you can install
Drupal, then install gallery inside using the FTP method mentioned in
the first link I sent you.
