Hi Francesco:
This really clear more or less the use of taxonomy. Now I can play a little with my local installation of Drupal. But some doubts remain. For example: when I add a terms, what Synonyms means? I understand the rest of all but not this.
Cheers

In drupal taxonomy <http://drupal.org/node/299> works in different way:
Vocabulary is the "container" such as a macro-category that contain terms, terms are real categories, you can assign to every nodes type many vocabulary.
eg:
using a news website you can assign to story content type different categories, places, topic,
Places (Vocabulary)
- Rome (term)
- Amsterdam (term)
- Paris (term)
- Berlin (term)
- ... (term)
Topic (Vocabulary)
- Politics (term)
- Finance (term)
- Lifestyle (term)
- ...
I hope being enough clear :)
