You can always login without a login block by going to
http://example.com/?q=user ("user" literally, not your username).

If the blocks disappeared, you probably changed theme. The blocks you
set up in /admin/build/block are per theme. Before you set them up
make sure that you have selected your current theme at the top of that
page.

But now I see a "500 Internal Server Error". This may have been caused
by many things, for example the server does not like Drupal's
.htaccess file. Did you upload the .htaccess file recently, or changed
something in it?
