[support] Views repeating dates

I'm just using the date module with date repeat, I don't need the look 
and feel of a calendar.
I need the view to choose from the field containing all the dates 
starting from 'today' and possibly display for the next 7 or 31 days.
Instead it displays repeating dates from the first entry not from now or 
today.
I note in the php help that 'now' is ignored, this is most peculiar.

Please what is a delta field, how should this be used.
It seems to be selectable only as a filter.
