[support] links to download files do not start

Ok, I created a content type called shows I created a file field and the
formatter is generic file, Is this what you mean? I built the url to the
file in my views for downloading. Maybe I should of used the formatter to
showlay url

Check the display type for the field for each of the types of displays you
have.
