admin/structure/types/manage/TYPENAME allows you to select which menus are
available for that particular content type in the "Menu settings" vertical
tab. When authoring a node of that content type node/add/TYPENAME, you will
see a "Menu settings" vertical tab at the bottom of the form, with a
checkbox "Provide a menu link."  Check the box to see parameters to put a
link to the node in a menu.
