[support] No attributes contained in Drupal7 Services xml parse

A possibility, but the 'accepted' module list is out of my control. I did
find an example of using:
function hook_rest_server_request_parsers_alter(&$parsers) {
    $parsers['application/xml'] = 'Xml2Array::contentFromStream';
}
with a few functions that use simplexml. But even though the hook fires,
the methods never do, so I trying to unbreak things on two different fronts
now, hoping one will get me to the finish line :)
