FWIW, I've never had any trouble typing underscores. I definitely do prefer them to camelCase. I just think it looks cleaner. Not sure this should be considered a hugely critical issues for contrib projects, but I'd like to keep the code style for core as is. Richard Morse wrote:

You could learn how to type in the Dvorak layout. Then, the '-' (and, perforce, the '_') key are where the "'" key is now, so you just use the pinky of your right hand...
