I am someone who could have used this when migrating from wordpress with a combination of "legacy" php flat files that called into wordpress for theming. In the end I decided to leave both the wordpress theme and the theming of the flat files (through wordpress) as is, but that decision means most of the older pages look very different from the newer ones, have different formatting, different menus. In short, what is outlined in the first post would be extremely helpful for people coming from a similar situation. A helping hand in moving TO Drupal, not away from it.
