I'm finishing up a site right now where, for various reasons, the majority of my node_load() calls are not then followed by a view op. They're loaded for their data, and only sometimes is the node that is loaded the currently viewed node. There's frequently at least three per page that are not. While I'd love to make node_load() less expensive, I really don't think a change of this size should be happening nearly 2 months after an extended freeze. -- Larry Garfield AIM: LOLG42 larry@garfieldtech.com ICQ: 6817012 "If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of it." -- Thomas Jefferson
