No, the cookies aren't stored in the database. But neither are they stored on the filesystem of the server (in Drupal or otherwise). In case you are wondering about this directive in php.ini: ; The path for which the cookie is valid. session.cookie_path = / I don't think that this is a path on the file directory of the server. I know that my apache doesn't have read or write access to /.
