I'm accustomed to RC's being numbered and having a specific composition which everyone can reference. It seems Drupal's RC is just a regular CVS snapshot which changes over time.

... which is considered now stable enough that non-developers are encouraged to test it. One might expect that the DB structure does not change (significantly...)
