Dww: Thank you for not bad mouthing Ivan. There is nothing wrong with looking at other projects and their methods. Personally, I think Drupal's is pretty freaking good because the community is massive, and I don't think it's 100% the software, so something is working there. However, I feel like Drupal is also becoming more of an app framework than a CMS, and I think it has a bad architecture for an app framework. I use Django when I'm not building a CMS. I use Wordpress when I need a blog. I know it is probably heresy, but why do we have to eat our own hippo food (a total project management system) in drupal. Drupal is a CMS! There are many excellent project management / vcs suites out there (JIRA and trac come to mind). I would much rather see a tight integration into drupal.org with one of them, than go the direction of continuing the development of something which is really just maintained for d.o. and gives nothing back to the rest of the software community while eating up resources. What do you guys think? Would it be cheaper to actually just re-implement the project management tools in trac and then write the glue code in python to integrate with d.o.? Best, J
