I'm processing 200 records. The progress message (@current out of @total) gives me 1 out of 1, 2 out of 1, 3 out of 1, etc.
$batch['sandbox']['max'] is set to the number of records being processed, though I don't know whether it's used or not. I can't seem to find in the docs or the code what is driving the @total value. I do see that it comes from $current_set['total'], but not where that comes from.
