I personally like the 'third person' approach, but it should be far more nice if all helptexts of drupal were written from the same perspective.. Currently the way helptexts are written is a little of both worlds and not in a very nice way.. It would be nice if we could get this consistent.
I am willing to do the translation/conversion of all those help texts in Core. What is the suggested format to do these changes in? From experience in the past, I learned that my diff program that runs on Windows, my patches aren't in the same format as the rest of the patches submitted, so I can post a plain text file with the changed text, if there isn't anyone else with the right tools who'd take this task.
You might want to consider installing cygwin: http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/ It creates a sort of linux emulation layer in windows and allows native linux apps to run in windows, such as diff and patch. This way you can make compatible diffs yourself. Aran
