I'm a heavy Konqueror user, but I would argue against waiting for Konqueror compatibility, as long as it works at least well enough to be usable at all, or degrades gracefully.
I also use Konqueror a lot, and like it a lot. In some cases, it is better than FireFox. However, being pragmatic, I realize that its market share is too low and can be ignored completely due to that.
