There will no features added to 4.7, so the 4.7 jquery patch is kind of pointless. The authors of the patch know this and provide it only for others who wish to patch their Drupal install.

I only leave it in the queue since it wouldn't be found otherwise.

It's not pointless, it's just currently the only way we have of collaborating around backported patches, unless we actually create a project for it. -- Boris Mann
