[drupal-devel] Default spelling.

Hi, I have been doing a little development for an American client, and it occurred to me that I didn't really know what language the default English is. When developing modules which English should be used. American or British (New Zealand/Australian). eg, colour vs. color, initialise vs. initialize I know that it can be translated, but it will be a pain if some modules used colour and others used color.
