Thanks to all. I especially like Michael's suggestion.

My suggestion to you if to encourage people to test a branch before you tag it as a release. Much like upstream drupal is done but on a much smaller scale, etc.

Should we add this to module development / cvs best practices in the handbook? I'll write it if the answer is yes. - Ken Rickard agentrickard P.S. -- New release is the answer, since I have a MySQL error confusing people, despite the patch.
