[development] node type not listed at node/add

Hello, With a module implementing its own node type, the said node type is not listed at node/add. Is this a feature or a bug? http://drupal.org/node/368924 Everywhere, it is said that the menu item is automatically created from hook_node_info() but having read the documentation and followed the tutorials, it just doesn't work for me.
