While everyone who applied could do the job excellently, I've chosen Charlie Lowe to be Drupal's first documentation coordinator.
Among other nice things, this appointment demonstrates that the Drupal project is willing to delegate authority when needed. I think delegation is necessary for the project to grow quickly and fulfill its potential.
