Sounds like another one of those "Here's why jQuery would be a great addition to core. Look how easy this is!" things.
I totally agree. I think, we really should push the integration of jQuery into core forward right now, and not later, because it would be useful for many pieces of ui improvement. more information here: http://drupal.org/node/69786 regards, frando
