I take it the git mirror can only be used for pulling patches/changesets in from other git repositories, and not for pushing patches/changesets to the main Drupal tree (i.e. CVS HEAD on drupal.org)?
Yes it is only for pulling. If Drupal was to use git it would work much the same, but when you would committed patches they would be marked as committed by you, but the patch author would be the person who wrote it. Gordon.
