I need to guarantee my client the stability that 4.6.2 offers but some of the HEAD modules that I need are starting to implement form_group_collapsible and ajax stuff.

Has anyone done any work in this direction?

I haven't seen any work on this, but I wanted to add a +1 for this....we see 4.6.x as a stable platform, and there are a few things we are already backporting -- e.g. free tagging patch. -- Boris Mann http://www.bmannconsulting.com
