right. DaveNotik also submitted http://drupal.org/node/56292 since he wants to be able to automatically flatten comments for casetracker nodes, but allow threaded comments for others. ;) so, it's clear this isn't necessarily a good idea. as i said, i was just brainstorming. -derek (dww)
